Frequently asked questions
How do I begin my couture journey?
Every couture journey begins with a conversation. We invite you to share your vision, occasion and inspirations with our Maison. Through a personal consultation, we can explore the possibilities and guide you through the next steps in creating a piece that reflects your individual style.
To begin your journey, please contact info@georginamariecouture.com
When should I book an appointment?
Our Custom Couture gowns are handcrafted in our Sydney atelier, with a recommended lead time of 6–12 months.
Our Maison Collection gowns are made to order, with a recommended lead time of 6–9 months.
For shorter timeframes, please contact our studio directly, as we may be able to accommodate your request depending on availability.
What should I bring to my consultation?
To make the most of your initial consultation, we encourage you to consider the styles and details that best reflect your vision. Inspiration images, including silhouettes, fabrics and finishes, may be emailed to info@georginamariecouture.com prior to your appointment. This allows our team to prepare a considered and highly personalised couture experience.
How many fittings are required?
Gowns from our Maison Collection generally involve two fittings to refine the silhouette and achieve the desired fit.
Our Custom Couture experience includes approximately four to five fittings, allowing every element of your gown to be meticulously tailored to you.
What is the difference between your custom couture range and Maison collection?
ATELIER EVENING COLLECTION
Created exclusively for each client, our Atelier Evening gowns are individually designed and handcrafted to embody your personal style, proportions and occasion.

Our Maison gowns are made to order using the pattern size closest to your measurements. Selected refinements may be made within the integrity of the original design to achieve a beautifully considered fit.
